Professional Experience

Mr. Alex obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Cornell University in 1992.  After completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Alex served as a senior legislative aid to a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives and in other legislative, regulatory, and public policy capacities in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Alex attended Georgetown University Law Center and was awarded his Juris Doctor Degree in 2001.

Mr. Alex joined the firm in 2002, specializing in intellectual property law, related litigation and licensing.  Mr. Alex has a particular interest in copyright law, handling the enforcement and defense of copyrights, related damages issues, and fair use evaluations.  Mr. Alex also has experience in patent preparation and prosecution, patent validity and infringement analysis, and trademark clearance and prosecution.
