Professional ExperienceMr. Raya studied chemistry at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. Following graduation, he took a position teaching chemistry in secondary education. While attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Raya was also employed as a Chicago Police Officer. In 2004, Mr. Raya was awarded his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, and received a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. During law school, Mr. Raya was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and a staff-editor for The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law. Mr. Raya joined the firm in 2004 as an associate following graduation from John Marshall. He has been recently featured in the Winter 2008 edition of Hispanic Executive Quarterly, highlighting his diverse background and career success. Mr. Raya has experience in litigation, patent prosecution, patent validity and infringement analysis and trademark clearance. Further, his patent prosecution practice specializes in the analysis, patenting and prosecution of medical and biomedical devices and equipment. |
