John King – Shareholder

Mr. King earned his Bachelor’s degree in 1988 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Electrical Engineering. Following his graduation from the University of Illinois, he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1991 from Loyola University Chicago.
Mr. King’s practice has involved a broad range of intellectual property law matters. He has substantial experience in patent prosecution matters, counseling and opinion preparation with respect to patentability, validity, infringement and enforceability of patents, patent licensing and technology transfer matters.

Mr. King’s patent prosecution practice specializes in the filing and prosecution of inventions related to electrical and electronic devices, systems and methods, as well as mechanical devices. He has extensive experience in RF communications, analog and digital circuit design, integrated circuit design and fabrication, memory design and layout, antenna design, data processing, data transmission, programmable logic devices, and test systems.

Mr. King is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and is actively involved in the Online Programs Committee, which uses online media to provide information and training to AIPLA members. He is also actively involved in the Emerging Technologies Committee, which addresses legal issues related to Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing.
